Troop 9 Wreath Sales - 2017

It's wreath sales time again!  Sale begins October 24th and continues until we sell all products.

Important:  There are two sales windows.

BEFORE Thanksgiving wreaths and centerpieces will be available beginning the week of Nov. 13th.

AFTER Thanksgiving wreaths and centerpieces will be available beginning the week of Nov. 27th.

You may pick up wreaths and centerpieces directly from our front porch located at:

6 Monterey Ct.
Champaign, IL  61820

Please coordinate with Jennifer Walters BEFORE picking up anything.  She can confirm what's available and may even prepare your order before you arrive.  jlwalters@sbcglobal.net or 898-8697.

A clipboard will be located on the porch.  Be sure to fill out the sheet when you take anything.

All money collected for sales must be turn into Jennifer Walters.  Do not turn in any money to the Troop Treasurer.  All money is due to the Troop by 1/3/18.

Zipline Trip - November 2017

Troop 9 is down to MegaCavern in Louisville on Friday November 3 to go ziplining.   It will be an adventurous trip that will allow the boys to not only go ziplining, but also try out a fun obstacle course in the cave.

The cost of the trip will be $100 per participant.  This includes ziplining, Mega Quest (a huge obstacle course), and two nights in a hotel.  It also includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Saturday. We will stop on Friday night for dinner and scouts will need to pay for that meal.

The trip will be a 4.5 hour drive from Champaign to Louisville including time to stop for dinner.

The troop will be staying in the Radisson Hotel Louisville North in Clarksville, IN.  We will prearrange a set of hotel rooms and occupants for all participants ahead of the trip.  Typically we will appropriately assign four people to one room.  This is short drive to the Louisville MegaCavern.

Tentative Schedule:

Friday 4:00 PM - Depart from Holy Cross. Some drivers may depart later.
Dinner - Each vehicle will stop on their own for dinner on the way up. 8:30 PM - Start to arrive at Louisville Saturday
Breakfast - Troop will provide breakfast at the hotel.
7:30 AM - Depart for MegaCavern
8:00 AM - Check in at the MegaCavern and Zipline
Lunch - Troop will provide lunch.
1:00 PM - Mega Quest
4:00 PM - Travel back to the hotel where the boys can swim
Dinner - Troop will provide dinner at the hotel.

Sunday Breakfast - Troop will provide breakfast or eat on the road. 9:00 AM - Depart from Louisville Lunch - Each vehicle will stop on their own for lunch on the way back.
12:30 PM - Arrive in Champaign, IL

Menu:

Friday dinner: Eat on the road.  Participants should bring money to buy their dinner.

Saturday breakfast: Breakfast at the hotel.

Saturday lunch: Sandwiches, chips, fruit, and drinks will be provided by the troop at the resort.

Saturday dinner: Pizza at hotel.

Sunday breakfast: Breakfast at the hotel or eat on the road.

What to bring:

• Long pants for the cave
• Jacket, sweater, or sweat shirt for the cave
• Closed-toe shoes suitable for walking over dirt and rock surfaces
• Change of clothes for after ziplining and/or swimming
• Swimming suit
• Permission slip and payment for trip
• Money for dinner
• Waiver
